A Message from the President

Dear Mountain Meadows Owners:

I have just come from our board meeting and our adoption of the 2010 Budget. As you can see, we raised our fees by 6% which comes out to a $75.00 increase. At this time I would like to give you our rationale for the increase. (First I might mention that we are at below average of the others at Pagosa)

I. The Pagosa area estimates that utilities (Electricity, etc…) will go up 38% to 40 % next year. There is also a projection of a raise in water, sewer and fuel.

II. Other areas that need more funding are:
a. Housekeeping
b. Snow Removal
c. Trash Removal
d. Recreation and Activities
e. Real Estate and Property Tax
All of the above require more money and we as a board have endeavored to spend only as needed.

III. Projected changes in our units:
A. In the master BR we will try and enlarge the closet space, in between the bathroom the BR and Bath remove the useless counter space.
B. New Thin T.V. and raise shelves to eye level instead of on the floor.

IV. We are endeavoring to improve our contingency fund for future repair and emergencies that may arise.
a. An example of this is the projection of new roofs, repairing pavement and wallpaper, etc…
