Message from the President

Dear Peregrine Property Owners:

In 2011 we replaced the soft goods in one-half of our units; this year we will do the same in the other half of our units. We hope you are pleased with these updated finishes. We have also budgeted replacing the kitchen countertops with granite, but are awaiting selection recommendations from the designer and some feedback from other associations that have already installed granite countertops.

We all share a common interest in visiting beautiful Pagosa Springs. We also hold a number of other common interests:

1. We want our visits to be enjoyable and hassle free;
2. We want our units properly maintained; and,
3. We want maintenance fees to be as low as possible as long as #1 and #2 are accomplished.

Beyond these common interests we may have other interests not shared by everyone. As a Board of Directors, our challenge is to keep all owner interests before us in our decision-making, but to recognize common interests are our first priority.

What one finds enjoyable, another may not. The same for hassles. Some maintain our primary residences one way, some another. Some are willing to spend more on maintenance and hold to certain standards, some spend less with different standards

This is why it is important for the Board to understand the differing expectations of owners and attempt to find a proper standard that most can support. The Board encourages your attendance at annual meetings and your comments, at any time. To do so, click on the Communicate link in the upper left corner, then click Peregrine on the pull down menu next to Property.

Because of increased costs, lack of control, and some dissatisfaction with the PLPOA Recreation Center we have utilized for years, all Property Owner Associations, at Wyndham Pagosa, have agreed to enter into formal discussions about building a pool and other recreation facilities. This would be located next to the existing new Activities Building. Current estimates indicate we could build and operate a new facility with full control at lower costs than we are paying PLPOA. Our representative on this committee is Matt Schaefer and he has been selected to head the committee. In the weeks to come, you will be hearing more about this.
