Message from the President

Dear Peregrine Property Owners:

We all share a common interest in visiting beautiful Pagosa Springs. We also hold a number of other common interests:

1. We want our visits to be enjoyable and hassle free;
2. We want our units properly maintained; and,
3. We want maintenance fees to be as low as possible as long as #1 and #2 are accomplished.

Beyond these common interests we may all have other interests as well that are not shared by everyone. As a board, our challenge is to try to keep all owner interests before us in our decision making, but to recognize common interests as our first priority.

What one finds enjoyable, another may not. The same goes for hassles. Some of us maintain our primary residences one way and some another. Some of us are willing to spend more than others on maintenance and hold to different standards. This is why it is important for the board to understand the differing expectations of owners and to attempt to find a proper standard that at least most can support. We encourage your attendance at annual meetings or your comments at any time.

All of the property owner associations at Wyndham Pagosa have agreed to enter into formal discussions about building a pool and other recreation facilities next to the existing new activities building. This is driven by increased costs, lack of control, and some dissatisfaction with the PLPOA Recreation Center we have utilized for years. Initial estimates are that we could build and operate a new facility with full control and considerably lower cost than we are paying PLPOA. Our representative on this committee is Matt Schaefer and he has been elected to head the group. You will be hearing more about this in weeks to come, but if you have input or questions, please direct them to Matt Schaefer at mattscha@aol.com.
